Everyone will enjoy seeing how you did it. Modesty doesn’t count in this category. Taking your audience behind the scenes is all about the skill and camaraderie of putting a story on the screen. Flatter yourself, your crew and your cast. The Eugene International Film Festival is dedicated to making this the most crowd pleasing category of the festival. Join us with your entry.

Cut To The Chase

Filmmakers that understand the art of capturing the hearts, minds and pulse of the audience as quickly as possible deserve special recognition.  This is first and foremost a great story editing award.

Three films were signed to distribution deals as a result of being shown at the festival in 2007.  Several films from the 2008 season have been offered distribution deals.  We will let you know more as deals are inked.

Screenings take place at the new state of the art Regal Cinemas Valley River Center Stadium 15 theater complex. The selection process involves multiple reviews of each film by a team drawn from 40 in the first round. The second and final rounds are judged by a select panel of professionals recruited for their careers in the business of motion pictures.  Awards are not always given in each category.
