Everyone will enjoy seeing how you did it. Modesty doesn’t count in this category. Taking your audience behind the scenes is all about the skill and camaraderie of putting a story on the screen. Flatter yourself, your crew and your cast. The Eugene International Film Festival is dedicated to making this the most crowd pleasing category of the festival. Join us with your entry.

Cut To The Chase

Filmmakers that understand the art of capturing the hearts, minds and pulse of the audience as quickly as possible deserve special recognition.  This is first and foremost a great story editing award.

We will be reviewing submissions and filmmaker information with an eye to helping selected filmmakers, domestic and international, attend the festival this October.  Spunk, passion, skill and a well crafted film will put you on the short list.  It is expected that a number of filmmakers will be selected.

Three films were signed to distribution deals as a result of being shown at the festival in 2007.

Screenings will take place at the new state of the art Regal Cinemas Valley River Center Stadium 15 theater complex. The selection process involves multiple reviews of each film by a team of 40 in the first round. The second and final rounds are judged by a select panel of professionals recruited for their careers in the business of motion pictures.
