EIFF Volunteer Opportunities
All Volunteers are matched to one or more Festival Board Members. Volunteers will receive Festival Staff t-shirts.

Prior to October 2008
1. Film Entry Assistants - Film Entry Reviewers: These popular positions have been filled, but volunteers on the waiting list are invited to participate in other activities.
- Assist in communications to filmmakers whose films are selected for screening and those whose films are not selected.
2. Primary Assistant to Volunteer Coordinator
- Volunteer Tracking and Special Assignments.
- Must be available all days and evenings of the Festival.
3. Art design and Distribution
- Festival T-shirts, Poster, Flyers (handbills), postcard design, printing and distribution logistics:
- Poster distribution Coordinator: Plan geographical distribution of EIFF posters (separate from WoW Hall service) and work with volunteers to get posters up 4-5 weeks before the festival in and around the Eugene-Springfield-Lane County area.
- e.g., Poster Distribution Day. 3 hour time commitment. Hosted post-distribution Pizza/Refreshments.
- Coord. WOW Hall staff distribution Service
- Posters - - Arrange and deliver to LTD(bus bulk distribution)
- Prepare Nametags: Invited Guests, Presenters, Filmmakers
- EIFF Printed Program – events & related info
- Logistics: Event Banners (design, pick-up, delivery, take-down).
4. Sept 08 Eugene Celebration Parade Entry Planning
- A. Parade participants: actors for our brief skit along the route ("leading man" and "leading lady") and also marchers to hold signs and carry props. (We have already signed on our "Director" for the skit.)
- B. Sept 08 Eugene Celebration Community Booth: Join us in the Community Causeway section at the celebration! Sell tickets, manage Wheel of Fortune for give-aways. Hand out Festival postcards.
5. Ticket Sales Assistants
- Festival Pass Sales - Sales: Need enthusiastic locally-connected volunteers that can help to jump start advance ticket sales in August. We are asking each volunteer to market the event to their "personal sphere" of influence with folks they know, selling a minimum of 10 festival passes each, over a 5 week period. You will be identified as a member of the festival staff with a t-shirt and given staff access to festival activities for meeting your goal of 10 or more Passes.
- VIP Gift bag coordination – Coordinate with Sponsors and other entities to pick-up and bag items for VIP Gift bags (for Presenters, and Attending Filmmakers).

1. Event Venue Assistants October
- 35 volunteer slots total (volunteers may work multiple slots)
- Must have some familiarity with the films – opportunities to view will be made available.
- Must remain at the site 1 hour after each event period.
- Assist at the Information Table (Ticket Sales; Program handout, etc).
- Food / Sound / Signage/ Rental Equipment, handouts, set-up-tear down,
- On-Site Registration & Ticket Sales. Table set-up, laptop; possibly a printer, provide directions to attendees, etc)
- Survey attendees with standardized survey.
