FORGET TEXTING, DATING BECOMES A CONTACT SPORT IN “X’s & O’s”
Film Producer Kedar Korde (Kay-dar Core-day) and the Eugene International Film Festival (EIFF) launch a free filmmaker roadshow Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Oregon State University, Owen 101. Screenings of “X’s & O’s” will include Lane Community College, February 16th, Forum Building 17, Room 307 and a public screening at Crescent Village, Eugene’s urban film buff community, February 18th. All screenings are at 7 PM. Students and the public will have the opportunity to learn about the making of “X’s & O’s” in Q & A sessions with Kedar Korde.
Tony Ventura, Vice President of Acquisitions for Rivercoast Media and distributor of the film, will be attending the screenings at OSU and LCC to answer questions. Production Accountant Mike Roberts will also be present at Lane Community College to answer your questions about production budgeting and accounting. His credits include: “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” “Rocky IV,” “Pretty In Pink,” “The Untouchables” and “Connie and Carla.”
Showbiz Software of Los Angeles, a leading underwriter of the EIFF, will be donating free production management software in association with the EIFF to attending students and participating schools.

Kedar Korde wrote the “X’s & O’s” screenplay as a love letter to the woman of his dreams. After the sold out world premiere of “X’s & O’s” at the Hollywood Film Festival, he proposed to her. They just had their first child six months ago.
Synopsis
“X’s & O’s” features a rising, young, ethnically diverse and talented Hollywood cast. The film follows a tight-knit group of San Francisco friends as they navigate the real world, post-college dating scene. As they struggle to find meaningful relationships, they quickly realize that everyone must have a strategy for finding and holding on to love.
CLAYNE CRAWFORD (‘A Walk to Remember’, FOX’s “24”) stars as Simon, a scientist in love with Jane, a beautiful dedicated manipulator, played by SARAH WRIGHT, (‘The House Bunny’), who sees Simon as nothing more then a playmate to tease and stroke her ego. To make Jane jealous, he begins dating his smart and introspective lab mate Trese, played by two-time IFP Independent Spirit Award Nominee, JUDY MARTE (‘Raising Victor Vargas’, ‘On the Outs’). Trese is a gifted poet, but she is not-so-well-versed in the game of love, and she quickly falls hard for Simon. Simon’s plan begins to unravel and he is forced to choose between chasing his hopeless quest for Jane and what could be his one true shot at real love.
